Mental healthcare services to support healing and personal growth.
Hello, I’m Carla.
I believe that all of us, at different times in our lives, may face unexpected challenges. Whatever you may be feeling—overwhelm, sadness, worry, confusion, emptiness, loneliness—if these feelings persist, you can find some relief, and you don’t have to do it alone. Taking the steps to start a professional relationship with a trusted therapist can be healing and life changing. As you explore and reflect on what may be happening in your life right now, you’ll gain greater clarity about what deeply matters most to you, and develop a more authentic connection to yourself and to others you care about.
My approach to therapy.
As a licensed marriage and family therapist, my intentions are to bring my authentic self into the therapy room. I offer a relational, empathic, and collaborative style. Together, we’ll become curious about you and the changes you wish to make. My approach is informed by psychodynamic, humanistic, existential, attachment, gender affirming, emotion focused, CBT, ACT and family systems theories. I believe that relationships heal and that corrective emotional experiences can bring about personal growth and long-lasting change so that you can live life more fully.

Let’s begin the conversation.
Let's engage in an open, honest conversation about your concerns and wellbeing. We’ll slow down, and take the time you need to explore your thoughts and feelings, values and beliefs, and the meaning of your life experiences. As you become more self-aware, you can make intentional choices about what you want and need, and create a life that brings you more satisfying relationships and personal fulfillment.

I accept Visa, MasterCard, and Health Savings cards, in addition to Zelle transfers and personal checks as forms of payment. Payments are billed and received on the day of service. I require all clients to provide a credit card number to be kept on file, however you are welcome to pay using one of the other accepted payment options.
Insurance
I am currently an out-of-network provider in private practice. I do not accept insurance at this time. Many insurance companies offer reimbursements for out-of-network mental healthcare services. Prior to beginning therapy, I encourage you to contact your insurance provider to discuss your policy and options available to you. I provide a monthly statement for your records and Superbill, which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursements.
Medicare
I have chosen to separate myself (or opt-out) from Medicare as of January 1, 2024. If you qualify for Medicare, and choose to begin therapy with me, Medicare requires that we enter into a Private-Pay Opt-Out Medical Services Contract. Learn more about Private-Pay Opt-Out Medical Services Contracts, and also your right to choose a therapist connected to Medicare.
No Surprises Act and Good Faith Estimates
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical and mental healthcare will cost. Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
